a.     Love to Attack:
                                                              i.      Our team gains ball possession, think and act accordingly - Attack.
                                                            ii.      Individual gains ball possession, think and act accordingly - Become first Attacker.
                                                          iii.      Maintain ball possession.
                                                          iv.      Beat my man, Go to the goal and Score.
1.       Read the Game:
a.       Look, glance and in ready position
b.      Ball in flight, look left & right move toward the path of flight!
c.        See the present situation and anticipate future options.
2.      Run to Attack:
a.       Support teammates, hinder opponent.
b.      Support run, get into a position to receive a pass.
c.       Check run, getting rid of opponent for a pass.
d.      Dummy run, taking opponent out of good defending position.
e.        Adjustment, knowing when to support the ball and when to stay away.
3.       Receive the Ball:
a.       "Meet" the ball by getting in its path and moving toward the ball.
b.      "Greet" the ball with Triple Threat – Dodge, Shoot, Pass - (DSP) "box position"
c.       Control the ball, Right handed and Left handed.
4.      Retain the Ball
a.       Effective cradling and good stick control
b.      Upper body - slightly tilted arm bent forward to protect the ball as much as possible, body between the ball and opponent
5.      Releasing the Ball
a.       Passing the ball where you want it! (both right & left handed)
b.       Place the ball when, passing, clearing or shooting.
 
 
b.      Love to Defend:
                                                              i.      Our team loses ball possession think and act accordingly - Defend.
                                                           ii.      Individual looses ball possession, think and act accordingly – Becomefirst Defender.
                                                          iii.      Regain ball possession.
                                                            iv.      Get between our goal and the ball and prevent a shot on goal.
1.       Read the Game:
a.       Look, glance and in ready position
b.      Ball in flight, look left & right move toward the path of flight!
c.        See the present situation and anticipate future options.
2.      Run to Defend:
a.       Move into the field of play.
b.      Pressure player with the ball, if you are closest to him.
c.        Get between your goal and the ball
3.      Ready Stance:
a.       Bring First Attacker under control.
b.      "Meet" opponent by getting into his path.
c.       Get into the Defensive Stance (break down stance)
d.      Head on a swivel,
e.       Upper body half turned and slightly forward,
f.       Arms away from body for better balance,
g.        Eyes on the ball.
4.      Refuse Advancement (keep first attacker under control):
a.       "Greet" opponent with fake attempts at the ball.
b.      Use series of check packages to jab at the ball.
c.       Use body checks were appropriate.
d.      Regain possession of the ball.
 
 
c.      Love to Transition
1.       Read the Game:
a.       Look, glance 3 second rule
b.      Ball in flight, look left & right move toward the path of flight!
c.        See the present situation and anticipate future options.
2.      Run to Transition:
a.       Support teammates, accelerate ball movement.
b.      Support the transition space, move up field into a position to receive a pass.
3.      Execution of transition
a.      Draw defenders to commit to the ball
b.      force the defense to slide, creating an open player
c.      Create a 2 on 1 which will lead to a 1 v 1 opportunity with the goalie
