Practices begin in mid-February. The season begins on the last weekend in February and ends in mid-to-late May. Fair Oaks Lacrosse aims to accommodate all who want to play lacrosse. To assure skill development, players are placed on age and skill appropriate teams with proper roster sizes. Registration is generally handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please do not wait until the last minute to register as teams do fill up. If a team roster does not fill or coaching staff is unavailable for a particular team, registration fees will be refunded.
Fair Oaks Lacrosse Club is powered by parent volunteers. During online registration, parents will be required to choose from parent volunteer roles and rank them in order of preference. Please click on the PARENT VOLUNTEERS tab to the left BEFORE starting online registration to familiarize yourself with the expectations and time commitments for each role. The Fair Oaks Lacrosse Club is powered by parent volunteers. In order for the club to exist and be successful, we require parent volunteer hours (6 hours minimum) on behalf of each player.
US Lacrosse Membership
US Lacrosse membership is needed when team registration begins and must be valid for the entire season and is required for insurance purposes. During the registration process you will be directed to the US Lacrosse website and your player's membership status will be checked. If needed, you will be required to purchase or renew the players membership (at a non-refundable cost of $30 payable directly to US Lacrosse online) prior to completing this registration form. IMPORTANT: Upon completion of purchasing/renewing the US Lacrosse membership, please be sure to CLOSE the US Lacrosse window and RETURN to the Fair Oaks Lacrosse Club website to continue the online registration process. Your registration will be incomplete unless you do so.
Scholarships and Financial Aid
US Lacrosse and the NCJLA have programs to aid players who need financial assistance. Please contact Fair Oaks Lacrosse before the close of the registration period to inquire about any potential financial assistance.
The US Lacrosse fees (which were paid directly to US Lacrosse either during or prior to the registration process) are not refundable at any time. No refunds of the Fair Oaks Lacrosse Club registration fee will be issued after the close of the registration period. EXCEPTIONS: If for any reason we are unable to place a player on one of our teams, Fair Oaks Lacrosse Club will issue a full refund of the registration fee. A player who withdraws from a team for a medical reason (such as injury) with a valid physician's note after the close of the registration period and through the second week of practice will receive a full refund of the Fair Oaks Lacrosse Club registration fee, less a $50 administrative fee. A player who withdraws from a team for a medical reason (such as injury) with a valid physician's note after the second week of practice but before the first game will receive a 50% refund of the Fair Oaks Lacrosse Club registration fee.
